About :Arnolfini
Arnolfini is Bristol's centre for contemporary art in all media. Its activities include exhibitions, performances, film screenings, readings, commissions, premieres, festivals, seminars, classes... This storm is what we call progress 從10 Sep-23 Oct. Martin, 館長他說, "This show marks a moment- for the building and arnolfini...." The first exhibition upon Arnolfini's reopenign is an international group show exploring themes of progress, history, memory and loss. The exhibition asks how, why and what we remember. 它邀請我們回想這些年來時間的經過 帶走又帶來了些什麼 these works explore our complex relationship to the past as well as our responsibility to the present.
Matthew Buckingham, Muhheakantuck---Everything has a Name.
Life is a long journey, 此刻的決定影響未來,如果沒有勇氣跨出,you will never how would it be!!
This film was shot from a helicopter as it made its way up and then down the Hudson River from New York. An accompanying voiceover recounts events that took place there nearly 400 years ago when the river was first navigated by Henry Hudson, a Dutch explorer. The native name for the Hudson River is used in the title of this work and means "River thta flows both ways" 這部片是以 pink-tinged, faded-look to the image.
旁白以低沉穩重的聲音說著, we think what we read, saw, thought and everything we have done....
君不見黃河之水天上來,奔流到海不復回;
Landscape with Flowers , Artist is Jyll Bradley
Away from the place, time and people that made and cherished the original, these arrangements can be seen as an attempt to recapture something of the past. However, like faded photographs, they can only capture part of a moment and their portrayal of the past can be questioned.
